CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

A Virtual' Christmas Market' followed by a Christmas Light Competition and finally a Community Centre Christmas Quiz will brighten up the weeks before Christmas

The Christmas Festival and Market has become a popular highlight of the year in Tarvin. This year people will be able to shop at their favourite Christmas stalls together with some new ones, all from the comfort of their own home.

In 2008, when the Tarvin Christmas Festival and Market began, the aim at that time was to bring the village together as a community and to promote the various groups within the village. The present Christmas Festival and Market Community Group feel that this should be our central aim once again in 2020 but we also want to ensure that local businesses are included in this aim. 'Stallholders' will not be charged a single penny to promote their 'stall' on our 'Virtual Christmas Market'.

The 'Virtual Christmas Market' will remain in this part of the Home page of the Tarvinonline website so it will be easy to find. Each 'stallholder' will be given a 'page' or 'stall' which will include a link to your website, Facebook page, or whatever digital media you would like your customers to link to in order to view your goods or services and make a purchase. You will simply be asked to create a 'Word' document outlining your offer with some images of your product/s and perhaps a photo of yourself – as with all digital marketing this is really important as 'people buy from people'.

'Light Up Tarvin' Christmas Decoration Competition

Residents and businesses are invited to Decorate their home or business with Eco Decorations or traditional Christmas lights. You can enter your display in the competition and / or go on a Christmas lights safari and see if you can spot them all. Details to follow soon. Watch this space...
