An evening of Food, Fun and old fashioned Entertainment was held at Tarvin Methodist Church on Monday 18th December. The Church was transformed into a venue decorated for a Christmas Party with tables set with all the festive trimmings of crackers and candles. Set among the already decorated Christmas trees it was an atmosphere truly reflecting the party spirit.

The evening was compered by Mr. Charles Bradley who introduced the performances as well as performing in some of the musical items.
From the songs of Flanders and Swann, poems and prose of Pam Ayres, Dylan Thomas and others, the choral pieces by the Tarvin Singers and solo by Ellen Duncalf, to the very enthusiastic carol singing in between, the entertainment was varied and enjoyable. Everyone agreed that this had been a very successful and happy evening.
Once again this was a full house proving the popularity of old fashioned entertainment suitable for all the family, in good company and the chance to join in too!

All this and food as well! The quality meal served was a good opportunity for us all to indulge ourselves and was much appreciated. The evening was concluded with a humorous twist on the nativity story given by Rev Sue Levitt.

This is an annual event which gains in popularity each year so if you missed it there is always next year.
