Subdued lighting, Christmas decorations, crackers and all the party trimmings gave an air of fun and enjoyment as about 50 people gathered to take part in the annual " Christmas in the Parlour " event at Tarvin Methodist Church.
Organised and compered superbly by Sybil Williams who used her talents to entertain and cajole us into volunteering for all the usual party games, charades, quiz and even a variation on pass the parcel.
Tarvin's answer to the two Ronnies (also known as Peter and Charles) together with performances of Christmas poetry and verse as well as enthusiastic carol singing kept us entertained all evening.
We were served a hot meal of a very high standard by the ladies of the Methodist Church, once again proving that their skills and talents are second to none.
The Rev David Speed closed the evening in humorous fashion before sending us on way with the blessing .
Grateful thanks to all who made this evening possible and to all the friends who came along to join in the fun.
