Christmas Quiz in aid of Tarvin Community Centre

CHRISTMAS QUIZ IN AID OF
TARVIN COMMUNITY CENTRE

Once again the Community Centre Committee had a good response to the Christmas Quiz. After checking all the returned answer sheets (and making due allowances for some interesting spellings – Ruben Amorim was a particular challenge), I am delighted to announce that the prize winners this year are:

• 1st prize: Maddy and Arnie Sheppard of Tarvin
• Equal 2nd prizes: Linda and Alan Poulter of Chester
• Julie Jones, Librarian at Tarvin Library

As last year, the returned answer sheets were of a very high standard and there were a number of compliments saying how much people had enjoyed the quiz. I hope that applies to everyone who bought a copy.

I would particularly like to thank Walk Mill Bakery, Margaret Dixon, Bryan Evans and Maddy Sheppard, all of whom sold or gave away multiple copies. Despite being unable to sell copies at the Christmas Market this time, we were still able to clear a profit for the Community Centre of £164.
