Tarvin Community Centre is delighted to be able to announce that it will be showing the cinema presentation of the 2016 Andre Rieu Maastricht Concerts on Sunday July 24th at 3.00pm. The specially commissioned film is recorded live, edited and then transmitted to cinemas around the world only on July 23-24.

The music of Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra is immensely popular around the globe and the concerts in Maastricht, his home town, are one of the high-lights of his world tour itinerary. Thousands gather in the main square to enjoy a heady and intoxicating mixture of music and song, all conducted with energy and flair by this master musical showman. The joy and enthusiasm of the crowd is obvious, Andre Rieu's music makes people smile. For some years now the concerts have been recorded and edited for special cinema release and it is this film that the Community Centre will be showing, certainly the only village-based venue in the area to be doing so.

Lyn Brunton, film promoter at the Community Centre says "We started thinking about this when our Chairman, Alan Wilkinson, mentioned that he was going to Maastricht in person to see a concert. We asked our Friday Film supplier, Reels on Wheels, if they could offer us the film and we were delighted when they could. I believe that there is a real demand for this type of quality entertainment and here at Tarvin we can offer great cinema quality pictures and sound, easy off-street parking and a bar. But more than this, we can offer a ticket price cheaper than many of the other, bigger venues. I am not sure if we can manage dancing in the aisles as well, but when Andre plays, anything in possible!"

Tickets are £13 and must be purchased in advance. They are available from 01829 470707 or on-line at www.ticketsource.co.uk/tarvincommunitycentre.

The Community Centre recommends booking early to avoid disappointment.
