Tickets to the film presentation of the 2016 Maastricht Concert by Andre Rieu are selling steadily. The film version is shown worldwide on one weekend in July and Tarvin Community Centre are delighted to be one of many venues to be showing it.

The event is at 3.00pm on Sunday July 24th. Doors will be open at 2.30 and the concert will start at 3.00. With an interval, the event should last about 3 hours.

Andre Rieu is a Dutch violinist who has achieved worldwide renown with his Johan Strauss Orchestra. His rich orchestration and flamboyant showmanship have thrilled audiences all over the world and about 7,000 people fill the Vrijthof Square in the centre of Maastricht for each of the 8 summer concerts. (The audience will contain the Community Centre Chairman!)

While the Community Centre Committee have to accept that it is unlikely there will be quite the same atmosphere as that experienced in Maastricht , they are hoping that, with a little bit of bunting and a little bit of bubbly, fans of this unique performer will bring a bit of the Rieu magic to the afternoon. If there is enough space, then dancing in the aisles may be a distinct possibility.

Tickets are £13 and are available from the Post Office or from www.ticketsource.co.uk/tarvincommunitycentre

The Community Centre has recently renovated some card tables and would love them to be used on a regular basis. Years ago, whist drives were a very popular and regular feature in the live of the Community Centre and card tables were purchased to enable this.
