Most of us are well aware that Tarvin is in "Tier 2" (High Alert), but it's easy to forget exactly what this means. The NHS and gov.uk have created some posters for all three tiers which are a really useful and straightforward guide so, we thought we would share them with you. In case you have loved ones in a different tier you will be able to understand their situation better. The writing on this poster may be a bit small so, to see a larger version, and for more information, we have provided a link to the gov.uk Covid Alert Pages Click here

Tier 3 — Very High

I went to the funeral of a dear friend last week who died as a result of Covid19. So, my Covid antennae are on even higher alert than ever. It wasn't just awfully sad that Dave died so suddenly or well before his time; it was that the funeral itself felt so very muted and insignificant. A funeral for Dave would have been very different if he had not passed duting the pandemic. It would have been standing room only and we definitely would have sung... alot. He has a huge family and many friends. There were just 30 of us in the church. No singing was allowed and it all seemed surreal...like my emotions had been turned down to minimum. Covid has not only stolen our loved ones, it has stolen our ability to grieve properly for them.
Maybe we all have "Covid-fatigue". We are fed up with not being able to see family and friends, and for some, it has meant financial hardship, severe health problems, or more tricky working condidions. But all that pales by the pain of losing someone for good.
Stay Safe,Tarvin

We recently became aware that some Tarvin residents were concerned over the apparent closure of some of our local businesses. We all know that there are currently government imposed restrictions on which shops can be open to trade. Even allowing for this the recent closure of Greenacre Garage was a cause of concern. We have been told that this is due to an unfortunate case of Covid-19 and hence...
