WE NEED YOU, AS MUCH AS YOU NEED US

Posted: Friday 7th November 2014

Both myself and the Chief Constable work hard to ensure you get the best possible police service. However, we can't do this alone. We rely on you to tell us what you need from your police service, if there are any problems, and equally what has been going well.

The Chief Constable and I are holding a series of 'Working Together' public engagement events. The aim of these events is to give residents in various areas across the county an opportunity to speak to local officers, receive crime prevention advice, vote for the priorities they think their local policing team should work on and ask me and the Chief Constable questions.

The events are also being streamed live on the Constabulary website. So if you're unable to attend in person on the night, you're still able to watch and get involved by submitting your questions and voting on the priorities. More information on how to do this is available on the Cheshire Police website. We've already held these events in Crewe and Macclesfield. The events are still available to view on the Constabulary website.

The next Working Together Event is taking place in Widnes on 3rdDecember. More information about this event will be published on my website soon.

These events aren't the only way you can contact me. I'm here as your representative and if you have any issues about policing that you want to raise with me then please don't hesitate to contact my office. There are various ways you can do this. Details are available on my website.

It's vital that I'm available to you to make sure that I can represent your views. Conversations don't always have to be negative. It's always nice to hear positive things being said about the Constabulary as it reminds us why officers do the job they do.

I look forward to seeing and hearing from you in the coming months.
