A gentle interactive experience for those who take an interest in the mysterious and ancient art of predicting the future. The divination tent encourages creative play between children and their grown-ups. A one-man show with storytelling, movement poetry, physical comedy and simple theatre magic created for families with children aged 6 – 12.

When the hero of our story, Hugo, discovers the divination section at a local library, it sparks a deep fascination, and he quickly becomes skilled in palmistry, tarot cards and dream interpretation. Join Hugo and follow his journey “destined for greatness” and meet some of his mentors, including the peculiar professor Costello, who introduces him to tea leaf reading and the studious professor Ryan Socks, an expert in astrology.

The audience is invited to get hands-on and actively influence the story. In a world where there is so much pressure on children to succeed, The Divination Tent is an opportunity to see the joy in creative play and discovery.
