After 183 Years, The Circle is now complete.

Saturday 20th May was our Wedding day. The bells rang out in celebration at St Andrews Church, Tarvin.

It has been 183 years in the making, metaphorically speaking. A circle of family history was completed and the bells that rang on 20th May were the same bells that my ancestors, the Pritchards of Tarvin were accustomed to hearing in daily life.

Hannah Jenkins from Guildon Sutton Married Thomas Pritchard in 1813, one year later they were living in Tarvin. Thomas began work on the Hockenhull Estate and so began his life in Tarvin. Thomas and Hannah had eight children and their first Son William became a Saddler. Later moving to ply his trade in the busy port of Liverpool which William made his home.

Four generations later in 1962 my late Father, Albert Pritchard, moved the family to Upholland, West Lancs.

I work in construction and have often worked in Cheshire, including Tarvin. I often thought what a nice feel Tarvin had and returned on my days off. I had an affinity to the area, but couldn't understand why.

After researching my family tree and DNA it made sense. Thomas, Hannah and a daughter are buried at St Andrews Churchyard.

In 2018 I met Jacqueline, a Winsford girl, I'm now living down here. In 2022 I proposed and thankfully she said yes. There was no second choice for us. The marriage had to be at St Andrews Church. We had a superb day!
