Exciting News – Cheshire West and Chester's new Eco- friendly mobile library is now in service. In Tarvin, we are fortunate enough to have a library which is open every Tuesday and Thursday and this mobile service is not for Tarvin, but or those villageswithout the luxury of a permanent or part time library, this new, green mobile service serves an important function.

The CWaC Library Website gives a table of locations where the mobile library will be over a one month period including Kelsall, Guilden Sutton, Duddon, Barrow, Mickle Trafford , Waverton, Christleton, Willinton and Utkinton, plus lost of other places somewhat further away. Some of our readers will come from these areas or have family and friends in these areas.

The new vehicle is fully electric and has many more sustainable features, including solar panels and LED lighting, making it much cleaner and greener than previous vehicles. Other improvements include an awning for summer activities and onboard Wi-Fi and digital access for customers. We understand that the new mobile library is the first electric mobile in the country.

Tarvin Library is based at Tarvin Community Centre in the Edna Rose room
Opening hours
Tuesday: 12pm – 7pm
Thursday: 1.30pm – 5pm
