Editors invited for Tarvin Online

Tarvin online is run by a small group of volunteer editors. We are not journalists, nor correspondents but, like you, we care about the village we live in and enjoy sharing information about events in the Tarvin and surrounding areas. By doing so, we hope to promote local social groups, increase visibility of village events, services and organisations, promote local businesses and help people to connect with the village community that we all care so much about.

We take news, copy and events that we are sent from residents and local interest groups around the village and edit these into articles and social media posts.

We are looking for one or two editors to join the ranks. If you have experience in social media or journalism of any kind this would be a bonus, but is by no means required. With a little training and practice, editing articles and posting them on our social media channels is quick and relatively simple.

It is a great way to get to know about the village and volunteer from the comfort of your own home. We have a few meetings each year just to touch base and we share a little WhatsApp group.
