What really happened to the portrait of the Duke of Wellington?

Starring Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren as Mr and Mrs Bunton.

This is the true story of the mystery of how the portrait of the Duke of Wellington by Goya was stolen from The National Gallery. Scotland Yard believed it was the act of an expert art thief as nothing like it had happened before in 138 years. Worth £140,000, it would be valued at £3,186,021 today.

Kempton Bunton, had campaigned for OAPs and war widows to receive free television licenses and felt that the struggles of common, working-class people were overlooked. The theft was his way of protesting at Government misuse of tax payer’s money.

Tickets, as always, from Tarvin Post Office Children £3, Adults £4
