I bet not many of you have realised that the new flag pole has finally been erected on St Andrew's Church tower.
Planned to mark the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen, and despite being ordered in plenty of time before the actual event, circumstances beyond our control has delayed the work being carried out.
Now we have a new landmark, at present proudly flying the flag of St Andrew, much in keeping with the renovation of the clock face carried out to mark the Queen's Jubilee.
Both pieces of work were possible by generous donations from members of the public, for which we are extremely thankful.
Both the Union Flag, and that of St George are also available to be flown at the appropriate times.----another job for our church warden.
(Ed. The photo was taken before the flag-pole was erected- its not been stolen!)
