Former Rambler Service Station Site

A planning application to build 6 dwellings on the former Rambler Service Station site on Bye-pass Road has been received.
The PC decided to object to the proposal because of the scale of the development for the size of the site, such that two of the plots seemed to have no garden/outdoor space. The proposed houses are three storeys high which the PC feel would be too dominant and against the Village Design Statement.
The proposals also breach the emerging housing policy in the draft Neighbouring Plan, which says that development of any previously developed site outside the village settlement boundary should be of no more than 5 houses
