As was published in the notes from the last Parish Council, “the PC agreed to contribute to the costs of a replacement gate between Hockenhull Lane and the A51. The new gate will be smaller and easier to open and close”.The existing 5 bar gate had been installed, to permit vehicular access for the Turkey Farm manager in emergencies, when the bypass was built. It was no longer necessary.
The new gate post, replacement gate donated by the Community Woodland Trust, fittings and fencing rails were installed by volunteers Peter Maiden and Roger Hones.
The completed job – thank you to all involved.
