A traditional Harvest Festival service was held in Tarvin Methodist Church on Sunday, 2nd October. We were pleased to welcome Rev Neal Street and his wife Mary , to lead our service. Neal was a former minister at Tarvin Methodist Church and this was a happy reunion for members of the congregation.
The church was beautifully decorated with flowers , vegetables and foliage, much of it from our gardens. Donations of tinned and dry food products were gratefully received on behalf of the food bank.
Everyone was invited to share in a harvest lunch prepared by Sybil and Karen of jacket potatoes, salads and a variety of fillings. All this followed by a choice of cake and coffee.
Today was a truly wonderful celebration of the Harvest enjoyed by all who attended.
