Harvest Festival Service and Harvest Lunch

Sunday 5th October – 11am Tarvin Methodist Church will be holding our Harvest Festival Service, followed by our Harvest Lunch. The service and lunch will be open to all Church friends.

Harvest Festival is a special service in the church calendar, especially in rural villages like Tarvin, where many of our residents work in farming or support our farms.

At this time of year, we take time to give thanks for the food on our plates, we look to donate food to those who struggle to put enough food on theirs, and we also take a moment to give thanks to those resilient men and women who provide it – our farmers. It has been yet another very tough year for our farmers, battling weather conditions that make the challenging job of growing our food even harder.
