HGV fire on the entry to the M6 slip road at J18

Firefighters are currently dealing with a fire involving a HGV tractor unit on the entry to the slip road of junction 18, M6 southbound.

The vehicle is well alight.

Firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus and are using two hose reels to extinguish the fire.

The slip road has been closed by police, while the incident is being dealt.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
