Regular users of the King George V Playing Field will be aware that there have been issues with grass cutting this year. The main problem has been the wet weather in April and a drainage issue at the top of the field which meant that the contractor couldn't get any of his machinery onto the field.
At the Council meeting on Monday, 21st May, a quotation from a local contractor was approved and work will be carried out during the next few weeks to resolve the problems that we have been having.
Work will also be undertaken to improve the surface of the whole field through vertidraining it and also selective weedkilling.
