LOCAL POLICING NEWSLETTER SUMMER 2024
Every quarter Cheshire Police will be producing newsletters with their activity from areas across Cheshire.
Tarvin now comes under the Cheshire Rural area and the Summer 2024 newsletter for our area can be viewed in the attached images.
The original PDF version can be downloaded from here.
Note that Tarvin Parish Council have informed us that they have written to the Police and Crime Commissioner regarding the fact that our local PCSO, James Hannath, has been allocated more communities, and that this means he is now spread very thinly to the detriment of Tarvin Parish residents.
CLARIFICATION FROM THE PARISH CLERK
After the June PC meeting a letter was sent to the Police and Crime Commissioner expressing concerns that our PCSO duties might be changing with less time being spent in the Parish. The Police had responded indicating that nothing had changed or was scheduled to change. The reference about wider area had been included in the e-mail because if there was a significant urgent issue in a particular area then PCSOs would be pulled out to that area to deal with that issue. The e-mail was intended to be about encouraging everyone to report issues and receive updates online.
Finally, a local resident has informed Tarvin Online of a recent experience where he has reported an attempted scam -"by a 'man in a van' who claimed to be from a driveway firm called Brightside. Tried to charge me £2300 for sealing a drive, which normally costs £400 max. Company name is stolen from a firm in Ashford in Kent".
As James has encouraged in his previous newsletters, please be alert to any similar situations and report your concerns to the police by calling 101 or online at cheshire.police.uk.
