Make sure you are safe on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has been a really useful messaging system. with its end to end encryption it keeps private messages private. However this is worth checking out if you are a WhatsApp user:Crimewatch have advised that WhatsApp settings have recently changed.

WhatsApp has changed group settings to include "everyone" by default so that people you don't know can add you to a group without you knowing.
This may mean that you might see an increase in spam or phishing messages, loan Sharks, etc. You can change its default settings as follows:

1. Go to WhatsApp:

2. Go into Settings

3. Go to Account

4. Go to Privacy

5. Go to Groups

6. Change from (Everyone) to (My Contacts)
