A group of willing volunteers have successfully improved the footpath from the Parish Rooms to the rear of the Church eliminating the potholes and rough surfaces that had become a real problem.

On Friday 13th January, seven 900kg bags of 10mm white gravel were very carefully lifted through the trees and deposited by the Parish Rooms. The next day 15 volunteers arrived with wheelbarrows and shovels to distribute the gravel over 70 metres of walkway. The path had received a good soaking of weed killer, and all the edges had been cleared to ensure that the gravel went exactly where it was needed. The result is a great improvement and will make access to the buildings and graveyard much easier in all weather conditions.

Vicar, Adam Friend said "It was a great communal effort and lovely to see that it was not just regular church goers who responded to the appeal for help"

Once again, Tarvin residents show that they care for their community and are happy to step up and get the work done. Well Done to everyone concerned.
