During the Open Forum at the November Parish Council Meeting, a member of the public complained about the hedge between The Ridgeway and the A54, which she said had been cut back too hard.

Although this hedge should be a Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) responsibility it has never accepted liability so the PC has stepped in. The PC will talk to the contractor about the work that has been done.
Borough Councillor Leather told the PC that one of CWaC's Scrutiny Committees had been looking at Highways and would be returning to the subject early next year. Cllr Leather wondered if the PC would like to send a representative to the Scrutiny Committee to set out any concerns the PC has about how Highways operate.

A member of the Community Centre Management Committee spoke in favour of banners on the fence of the King George V Playing Field, facing the High Street, to advertise Cheshire Rural Touring Arts productions at the Community Centre

Later in the meeting the PC agreed to the request. It also addressed a complaint that the siting of any banner needs to avoid obscuring the view of drivers leaving the Playing Field car park. In future banners will be sited approximately 8 feet closer to the hedge.
