August is turning into a momentous month for Tarvin Methodist Church! First, we were allowed to sing the hymns during services, instead of just humming the tune. Then we could have coffee together after the service. And, last Saturday, we held the first Saturday morning coffee session that we have had for nearly eighteen months. It was wonderful to be able to welcome so many of our friends back into our Church for a drink and a chat after such a long time!
It has been agreed that our progression will be by making tiny steps forward, and checking that everything is safe, before we thereafter take the next step. All so far has gone very well and therefore, at 1.30pm on Thursday this week, we will again open our doors to the Tarvin folk who would like to join us for a session of Knit & Natter. These sessions are open to anyone who enjoys a chat and a hot drink and it is not necessary for you to do any knitting, sewing or crafting of any description if you prefer not to do so. That said, there are regulars who originally joined the group in order to learn particular skills. Some folk who first came as total novices are now capable of knitting garments using the most amazingly complex patterns!
If you would like to meet or to make friends on Thursday afternoon, then do drop into Tarvin Methodist Church between 1.,30pm and 3.30pm. You well be very welcome!
