Following recent articles in TOL about vandalism to trees in the Community Woodland and on the King George V Playing Field, the bark stripping at the playing fields has increased and the trees are in a much worse state – it is clearly deliberate. The Parish council have been informed and responded as follows:
"The frustration of a concerned Tarvin resident echoes that of the Parish Council and hopefully a significant majority of the residents in the Parish.
This matter has not previously been reported to the Parish Council by anyone from outside the Parish Council. However, the Parish Council is aware of the problem as those who manage the field on a day to day basis have picked it up. The Police are aware of the issues, increased monitoring of the field has been taking place by a number of people, and a fully qualified, certified arborist is advising the Council on the way forward."
