In 1896 Ernest Brassey owned Pool Bank House andin 1911 the Radcliffe's moved in and it remained with that family until Virginia died late last century.

Page 40 of Tarvin History gives names of land owner occupiers.

P67 has a reference to Pool Bank Farm (owner J E ROBERTS)

P68 says Radcliffe took over tenancy 1911 from George Lea, the farm being owned by Mrs Bennion. The whole of Pool Bank farm was purchased in 1927.

P101 says Poolbank is unusual in that the old timber framed farmstead survived at right angles to the early 19th century house.

So there were 2 buildings and 2 sets of occupants.

Tony Bland tells of a timber framed barn which was pulled down. I suspect that was part of what had been the farm.

Miss Radcliffes talk, Reminiscences of Old Tarvin may be of interest to the Australian lady writing about the Pool Bank House occupants.
Some photos and Miss Radcliffe's recollections may at times be incorrect but they may be of interest and can be found by searching the Tarvinonline archives.
