Cheshire Rural Touring Arts has issued a press release for Tarvin Community Centre's next theatre performance of Whitebone Productions award winning "Bane" on Friday 8th April at 7.30pm.

"A multi award-winning comedy theatre show inspired by graphic novels and films is visiting rural Cheshire in April.
'BANE' is a one-man, one-musician series of plays that follows anti-hero Bruce Bane as he goes about his shadowy business in the mean streets of a fictional American city. It is both a comedy and a drama. The Cheshire show will be in two parts, showing the first two plays in the trilogy. Heavily inspired by film and graphic novels, 'BANE' uses physical performance; shape- shifting from character to character as the story unfurls to conjure the setting. There are over 40 characters per show, all of which are performed by one man, Joe Bone, accompanied by a stunning live guitar sound track by one musician, Ben Roe.

The Bane shows have won multiple awards across the world and in 2014 they were toured globally to Italy, India, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Brazil, where the show is syndicated into Portuguese and has been performed publicly over 200 times.

The shows form part of Cheshire Rural Touring Arts' (CRTA) spring season of touring, taking professional arts events to rural venues and libraries across the county. Speaking ahead of the show, CRTA's Jen Henry said:
'This brilliant comedy has received rave reviews wherever it has gone and will particularly appeal to fans of graphic novels and films as well as a wider audience up for a great night's entertainment. We're delighted to be able to bring a performer of Joe's quality to Cheshire and we're sure you'll love him!'"

Tickets for the show, which is suitable for ages 13+, are available online from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/cheshireruraltouringarts, from Tarvin Post office, or by calling 01829 741 962
