Tarvin History Revealed – Success Story

In August 1996 Rachel Gilham, left, of Tarvin-based Golden fields Nursery won the Lady Salisbury Award at the festival of gardening at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire. She is seen with Lady Salisbury and the Wedgewood Crystal Bowl she received.

Golden fields Nursery also won a gold award at the annual show at Hatfield House, home of the Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury.

The company had been set up just 18 months before with Rachel concentrating on perennials and Keith Jones, of C and K Roses, providing the roses.
