The annual Carol service by the Chester Branch of the Salvation Army was a highlight of the week at Tarvin Methodist Church. The talented songsters and band members inspired the audience, who enthusiastically joined in the carol singing. A particular favourite was pianist Emily, known for her unique interpretation of Christmas music medleys.
No Salvation Army concert would be complete without the ladies and their tambours, and they did not disappoint. With beribboned tambours in hand, they delivered an energetic and impressive performance that captivated all in attendance. The evening was further enhanced by the serving of tea, coffee, and mince pies, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
All donations collected during the event were directed towards supporting the work of the Salvation Army in Chester, ensuring that the spirit of giving continued beyond the performance. This community gathering not only celebrated the joy of music and the festive season but also contributed to a noble cause, making it an evening to remember.
