Following the success of the Christmas Market another highlight of Christmas in Tarvin saw the Chester Salvation Army band in concert at TARVIN METHODIST CHURCH. These very talented musicans gave us another night to remember with traditional carols, new carols and songs from the songsters. The band were superb when playing set pieces or encouraging us to sing along. Needing no further encouragement the audience joined in with great enthusiasm as usual.
A piano solo by Emily who gave us her jazz version of Rudolph the red nose reindeer was a performance of the highest standard and enjoyed by everyone.
The concert was followed by refreshments of mince pies, shortbread, tea and coffee.
Donations for the work of the Salvation Army in Chester amounted to £305. Thankyou to everyone who came and supported the work of the Salvation Army in Chester and enjoyed this very special evening.
