A good turnout at Tarvin Community Centre last Saturday (23rd) enjoyed a great performance by Sarah McQuaid.

Sarah played two sets of self-penned songs taken from her 5 Albums released so far, with a couple of surprise covers of "Forever Autumn" by Justin Hayward (from War of the Worlds), and, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Ewan MacColl).

Sarah certainly lived up to her 'Living Tradition' critique "A world class talent...burns with a brilliant allure! with a great voice and superb acoustic guitar." The inspiration for each of her original songs was described in depth and included reading Swallows and Amazons to her daughters!

Martin Stansbury, Sarah's sound engineer and recording guru made sure we enjoyed the clarity of Sarahs' exceptional voice and guitar picking technique, and occasionally included live electronic loops to add even more to our experience, which even encouraged the audience to sing along!

None of this could have happened without the tremendous support from all the Community Centre's staff, and an audience from Tarvin and further afield, well done!

Phil Miles "This is the fourth show I have (privately) promoted at Tarvin Community Centre in the last 4 years, and the reason I keep going back to The Community Centre is that it is a such a great venue -from the stage, to the sound system and lights, the bar, and, the dedicated staff who go out of their way to satisfy my requirements."

"It makes my job of attracting such well known performers so much easier and Sarah has already asked to come back!!"
