The Community Centre is delighted to be able to announce that Tarvin Toddlers will be restarting on Friday September 3rd. The sessions run from 10.00 until 11.30 and cost £3 for a family. The fee includes snacks for the children and a hot drink for the grown-ups. There is no need to book, just bring your little ones, relax, and watch them enjoy themselves. There is a wide range of toys and equipment to entertain children of every age, the play is lightly supervised with the children choosing what they want to do, though there is often a craft session offered and a sing – along to round off the morning.
Vice Chair Sue Hardacre said "The Toddlers Group has been part of the Community Centre weekly calendar for many years and was badly affected by the lockdowns when families and children were cut off so dramatically from all their support networks. Informal groups like Toddlers can offer so much pleasure and fun to both children and their carers, we are absolutely delighted to have them back"
Volunteer Frankie Elliot said "Toddlers has always been a really good place to meet other parents for a coffee and to let your children run around for an hour. It depends on volunteers to run it and we were worried we wouldn't have enough to get it up and running again after all the chaos of lockdowns. Luckily we have a new group of volunteers who have stepped forward to run things"
Toddlers welcomes Mums and Dads, Grandparents, and carers, as well as children from babes in arms to pre-school. The group runs during term time only.
