St. Andrews Women's Group

We were pleased to welcome once again the REV ADAM FRIEND to update us on the work being carried out with THE IBANDA EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIP in UGANDA.

10 local schools in Cheshire are involved in sponsoring and carrying out the work needed in these schools. Money raised goes directly to each school to purchase items or build facilities that they request. All the volunteers from Cheshire are involved in the purchase of these items from Ugandan businesses so not only supporting the schools but also the local economy.

Our best wishes to Adam, his family and the volunteers from Cheshire schools when they make their next trip in a few weeks time.

Our meeting began with best wishes and Happy Birthday to Rev Barbara who has just celebrated a special birthday.
 Coffee, tea and biscuits were served and gave us the opportunity to catch up with each other's news as well as a chance to chat with Adam and learn more about the project and admire some of the handicrafts made by the children.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday November 5th. 7pm in the Parish Room.
