ST ANDREWS WOMEN'S GROUP
Our December meeting was the celebration of Christmas with our annual lunch date at The Bluebell, Barrow.
The party atmosphere with friends and good food in such a lovely setting was a perfect start to the Christmas celebrations. With a very fine lunch followed by coffee and mince pies we were in a relaxed mode to listen to Rev Barbara King reading a new version of the Christmas story which included characters from well-known nursery rhymes written by the Poet Laureate Caroline Duffy. A humorous book to recommend.
Our thanks go to Leonie and her wonderful staff who served and looked after us so well.
This very professional and talented team also cooked and served us meals of the finest quality and a menu so varied as to suit all tastes . We look forward to our return visit next year.
Our next meeting will be the first Wednesday in February 2024 and details will be published on Tarvinonline.
Our thanks also go to the volunteers at Tarvinonline who have published all our publicity and articles over the last year .
Our best wishes to everyone for a HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A PEACEFUL NEW YEAR.
