For our October meeting we welcomed local artist, Caroline Gregson, whose media is sculpture in wlllow.
She brought along some of her smaller pieces and showed us photographs of her many large sculptures commissioned by notable organisations such as the National Trust, Hampton Court, Chepstow Castle as well as the Cheshire Show and large hotel groups. We may have seen these wonderful sculptures and not realised that the creative artist lives among us.
Caroline talked us through making something more our size, producing a small chicken sculpture by the the end of the meeting . We were all inspired by her work and keen to learn about the classes that she does for small groups.
It was a pleasure to have Caroline as our speaker and we rate this as one of our best meetings. Thankyou Caroline for a most enjoyable evening. The meeting was completed by the consumption of coffee and home made cakes baked by our excellent cake maker.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 2nd November in the Parish Room at 7pm.
