St Andrew's Womens Group meeting report

ST ANDREWS WOMEN'S GROUP

On Wednesday 3rd July a group of ladies from ST ANDREWS WOMEN'S GROUP met at BELLIS BROTHERS GARDEN CENTRE AND FARM SHOP IN HOLT for our annual summer outing.

Blessed with an unexpected sunny afternoon we were able to enjoy the wonderful display of plants, shrubs and trees as well as all the related garden equipment and furniture needed to make our garden complete. Inside we browsed the well stocked gift shop with its large displays of pottery, china , cards and kitchen ware.

We were then drawn to a display of clothes, bags, hats and shoes in an array of style and colour. Spoiled for choice it was time for the farm shop. This is very impressive and stocked with local meat, dairy and bakery products. Their own strawberries irresistible in the vegetable display.

With our many purchases from all departments it was then time to head off to the large cafe with an impressive view of the Welsh hills.

A very pleasant afternoon was made complete by the necessary consumption of home made cakes, coffee and tea.

We all enjoyed our visit to this lovely garden centre in beautiful countryside and agreed it had been a very successful summer outing.

Our next meeting will be in SEPTEMBER and will be our, very short, AGM followed by a quiz with cheese and wine. We look forward to catching up with everyone after our summer break.
