The first meeting in 2019 of the St Andrews Women's Group took place on Wednesday 6th February and as usual was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended. The very talented Ken Walker kept us entertained with songs from the 60's in which we all joined enthusiastically (especially "Sweet Caroline" ). Since we could remember most of the words, many memories of teenage years and romances were awakened and shared! An evening of fun and laughter with the addition of tea and cake was one which left us all feeling uplifted and lighthearted.
Mr Walker donates all money that he receives from his performances to the work of Macmillan nurses. He and his father are both cancer sufferers and this charity is very special to them. We are very happy to support him and wish them both well.
Our next meeting will take place in the Parish Room at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 6th March when we welcome a speaker from Tarporley Cottage Hospital. All are welcome to attend.
