St Andrew's Women's Group September Singing

Our September meeting was an evening to be remembered and something new to us all.

After a very brief AGM, we welcomed Sarah Jessop, who organises SONG CIRCLE, a group that meets to sing in the village hall at Guilden Centre.

The aim of the group is to sing together for fun and well-being.

Sarah led us through a session of warm-up exercises to relax our bodies and minds before we began singing.

We learned by ear and unaccompanied,

How to sing a simple 4-line song in parts. We managed singing these four lines as a round in 4 parts all ending together and sounding very tuneful. We were really pleased with our performance and surprised by how good it made us feel. A very enjoyable evening made complete by the serving of tea, coffee and Mairi's homemade cakes and biscuits.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 1st, in the Parish Room at 7 pm.
