The St Andrews Women's Group held its April meeting with a special guest, Mr. Rob Knotts, who was warmly welcomed by Rev Barbara King. This marked Rob's second visit to the group, and his presentation focused on the fascinating topic of wood carvings of the Last Supper.
As a skilled artist and woodcarver, Rob shared his expertise on the various methods and materials used in woodcarving, tracing the craft from the 14th century to the present day. Using colour slides, he showcased a number of remarkable pieces he had encountered around the world, many of which were inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's iconic painting.
The evening was both enjoyable and informative, and the group extended their gratitude to Rob for his engaging presentation. Additionally, a donation was made to the RAF benevolent fund in Rob's name.
As is customary, refreshments including tea, coffee, and homemade biscuits were served, rounding off a delightful evening. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7th at 7pm, featuring a speaker from The Vice Squad.
