Fibre Box

Everything is moving along swiftly to install Superfast Broadband in Tarvin.

The new Green Cabinets (as pictured) are being installed around the area by BT contractors Telent (Part of Carillion), the power is being provided by Scottish Power, and, eventually the fibre cables will be installed by BT.

The Fibre optics will connect to the new Cabinets, and the new Cabinet will connect to the Old Cabinet, and the Superfast Broadband signal will travel to and from our homes using the existing copper wires.

It shouldn't be long now before you will receive through the post flyers from Superfast Broadband providers seeking your business, then you will know it has gone live. Remember you do not have to buy SF Broadband from BT as there will be other providers available.

For a moment I was taken aback. Had the Co-op been declared a risk...

During lockdown I started to run and in true Forrest Gump style I've not stopped. It started with Couch to 5K and then I was inspired by an interview with Brendan Foster on Radio 5 Live to convert this to a half marathon.
