Doors open at 09.45 and there is time for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat before the meeting begins at about 10.15 with a few announcements, followed by the talk at about 10.30 and questions to the speaker at about 11.15.

This month the talk is -

Cheshire's Charms by Tony Bostock

Tony is a keen local historian and has written many books on the history of Cheshire and is a regular contributor to Cheshire Life and has spoken to our u3a on previous occasions.

This talk is a journey round the old county of Cheshire, rich in treasures from the past and with a fascinating history. The largely unspoilt rural landscape is dotted with quaint towns, villages and hamlets where architectural gems, early history, curiosities, legends, the churches and the pubs all have a unique charm and a story to tell.

Please see the poster for more information.

You can find out more about the u3a from their website here, where the monthly newsletter is available, as is information on how to join the Tarporley and District u3a.
