Tarporley U3A June – Antigua or Bust

Tarporley & District u3a will be holding their next general meeting on:
Thursday 23rd June 2022
at Tarporley Community Centre
from 10am (doors open at 9.45am).
Speaker begins shortly after 10am following a few notices.
Our speaker this month isRachel Smith whose talk is entitled Antigua or Bust. Rachel never excelled in sport at school and isn't designed for rowing! Nevertheless, she and her friend Lin rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, facing 30 ft waves and wildlife with big teeth, for 11 weeks in a 30ft boat, sometimes naked. This is their story.
