Entertaining young children can be a struggle at the best of times, but the repeated lockdowns over the last 18 months has seen many parents stuck at home with toddlers, and new mums with limited opportunities to socialise with other new parents.
Baby and toddler groups are an inexpensive and informal place to meet other parents and to give your child the space to run around and play with other children.
Tarvin baby and toddler group has been running for decades, and has supported hundreds of local families. Now more volunteers are needed to make sure more families can benefit in the future.
If you have a baby or pre-school child and would like to see the playgroup back up and running, please get in touch.
Being a volunteer isn't hard, and the more people involved, the less work for everyone. Volunteers need to arrive 30 minutes before the session starts in order to set up the toys , put out mats and chairs, and to prepare the snacks. Help is then needed for 15 minutes at the end to make sure everything is put away and the hall is left ready for the next users.
The playgroup runs every Friday in term time at Tarvin Community Centre from 10-11.30am.If you would like to get involved, please message Frankie on 07513793124.
