We are only just a couple of weeks away from the return of Tarvin's legendary annual Christmas Market.
The newly formed committee of volunteers have been working hard for several months planning an exciting event for all the family – so please make sure that you keep the date free in your calendars and come and join in the fun.
The main High Street will be closed to traffic from midday to allow stalls to be set up along the road for the many local businesses and community groups who will be supporting the event. The market will open at 4pm (an hour earlier than in previous years) and continue until 9pm in the evening.
As well as the traditional Tarvin Christmas Market pancake stall, this year there will be additional take-away food and drink stalls to ensure that everyone can share in the festive spirit with friends and family.
There will also be an entertainment area outside the Methodist Church where there will be live performances, including from the local Tarvin Primary School choir and from the City of Chester Bluecoat Band, who many will remember from this year's Summer Fair.
Most important, there will be a visit from Father Christmas who will be at the Methodist Church, eager to meet the younger members of the community!
The timetable for the event is as follows -
12pm – High Street closed to traffic
4pm – Market Opens
5pm – Tarvin Primary School Choir
5:45pm – City of Chester Bluecoat Band
6:30pm – Austin Hallmark (musician)
