In December 1997, Rosemary Oliver became Oliver Twist in the classic Dickens' tale of the little orphan boy, in the Christmas play at Tarvin Primary School.

The appropriately named youngster joined fellow cast members Ralph Pedley. who starred as Fagan, Emily Barnes as the Artful Dodger, Claire Crimes as Nancy, Chris Ashley playing Bill Sykes, Shaun Roberts as Mr Bumble, William Culliford playing Mr Brownlow and Fiona Brisco as Mrs Bedwin.
