Tarvin History Revealed -Carnival Five-a-Side

After a short break from our last article in September we are now looking at articles in the History Group's scrapbooks for May 1988.

The preliminary rounds of the Tarvin Carnival five-a-side scout and cubs football competition were getting underway, with 12 teams in the under twelves section and twenty two teams taking part in the senior event!

Our photos show 8 of the teams taking part, Tarporley Cubs A, Beano All Stars, Queen Bees of Tarvin, The Team with No Name, Tangerine Army, Kelsall Cubs, and, together in the same photo, Bunbury and 1st Tarvin Cubs teams.

Tarporley Cubs A and Beano All Stars won through to the final on Carnival Day, June 18, 1988.
