Tarvin History Revealed – Girls Football at Tarporley High School

In February 1997, Tarporley High School's girls football team continued their winning ways.

Having in 1996 fought their way through the early rounds of the Vimto National Girls Soccer Cup to become the Cheshire champions, the girls have gone from strength to strength under the guidance of the head of PE at the school, Helen Halewood.

In their first regional game they beat Merseyside 2-1 and they now had beaten the Shropshire team by the same margin.
