In April 1994, the organisers of the Chester Community Toy Library were able to go on a spending spree following donations from toy manufacturers and local companies. As a result they had £600 worth of new toys, including some for children with special needs.
The library was run volunteers from their base in the Methodist Church Hall, Hamilton Street, Hoole and was open on Thursdays from 1.30 pm to 2.45 pm and on Saturdays from 10.0 am to 11.30 am.
