Tarvin History Revealed – MBE for Tarvin Resident

In June 1993 charity worker and Tarvin resident, Mike Stephenson, received the MBE for his 27 years work with Cheshire and Wirral Federation of Youth clubs.

Leeds born Mr Stephenson had been the charity's secretary since moving from Hampshire in 1996. His proudest moment before this was in 1992 when "we founded a group to try to get the unemployed think positively about how they could help others and they were presented with the Barclays Youth Action Award for Community Help by the Queen Mother."
